Acest forum este dedicat zilei de 5 iunie „Ziua Mondiala a Mediului” (World Environment Day) sarbatorita in peste 100 de tari ale lumii. In aceasta zi, ONU atrage atentia opiniei publice cat si politicienilor asupra problemelor de mediu, promovand o economie si un stil de viata „verde”. O eficienta energetica mai buna, susrse alternative de energie, conservarea padurilor, un consum care sa nu afecteze mediul.
In cadrul evenimentului vor fi dezbatute teme de actualitate precum starea patrimoniului forestier din Romania, conservarea ecosistemelor forestiere si reconstructia sistemului de perdele forestiere de protectie a judetului Constanta, rezervatia Biosferei – Delta Dunarii, refacerea si dezvoltarea fondului foretier, creseterea perdelelor forestiere de protectie, biomasa foretiera – alternativa de resurse energetice regenerabile, precum si programe de finantare eleigibile necesare refacerii patrimoniului silvic al zonelor de S – E.
